- Stay secret, stay safe Don’t reveal any details that may let strangers know who or where you are. Learn and use privacy settings on social networks. People do hide or pretend on the internet, and being anonymous makes them bold.
- Don’t respond to bullies or to anyone who makes you feel unsafe. Reaction is what they’re after.
Keep your search and chat histories. If there is a problem, these will help you get help.
- Learn how to block and delete abusive comments or people.
- Learn how to get help. Your phone, social network, video hosting, chat room, gaming and IM sites all have ways to monitor and remove users.
- TELL your parents or a caring adult. Immediately!
- Abuse and threats, however delivered, are ILLEGAL. And those who do it are traceable.
